As the office and current patients are associated with the existing Office UCR fee schedule, it is best to:
- archive the existing schedule as a copied schedule, and renamed to an altered name
- update the original fee schedule with the updated fees
NOTE: For ease and efficiency in patient records, the office should ultimately retain usage of the original fee schedule.
To copy the existing schedule to an archived schedule:
- Click the word “Setup” and choose the “Fee Schedules” and “Fee Schedule Setup” options from the drop-down box.
- Click the Add New Schedule button, and confirm the addition.
- In the field “Copy fees from existing fee schedule,” select the existing fee schedule to be archived.
- Click the Go button, and confirm the copy.
- Rename the copied schedule to indicate past usage (suggestion: Office Default – original).
- Click the Save button.
To update the existing schedule with new fees:
- Select the original fee schedule.
- Two options to update the fees:
- If the office desires to manually change the fees:
- Click the Edit Schedule button.
- Change the fees as necessary.
- Click the Save button.
- If the office wishes Denticon to update the fees on a percentage change:
- Input the desired amount of percentage increase (or decrease)
- Per the box, indicate if the new fees should be rounded to whole dollars
- Click the Increase (or Decrease) button
- Confirm the change
The Fee Schedule screen will reflect both fee schedules.
The Office Setup will retain usage of the “originally named” fee schedule, yet use the updated fees.
