Denticon’s programming specifies:
- PPO contracted fee schedules are to be attached to only the applicable insurance carrier
- Managed Care fee schedules are to be attached to only the applicable insurance plan. Managed Care fee schedules are used for Medicaid plans, as well as for Managed Care plans. The term “Managed Care” is used interchangeably for “capitation,” “dental HMO,” and “HMO.”
- The Office UCR fee schedule should be attached to only the patient, and not to an insurance carrier, nor to an insurance plan.
To confirm the fee schedule and plan are setup correctly, from the Patient Overview screen, check the following:
- Click on the hyperlink for the Carrier Name
- Confirm the fee schedule is NOT attached to the Carrier. If the fee schedule is attached to the carrier, the connection will create a programming conflict
- Click the word “Setup”
- Select the “Fee Schedule” and the “Fee Schedule Assignment” options from the drop-down list
- In the “Search” section (AZ w/ arrow) at the top of the screen, select the fee schedule name in the “Fee Schedule” field
- Click the options you would like to select for the search, then press the Apply button to understand all assignments of the fee schedule
- Click the hyperlink Delete to remove the fee schedule assignment to the carrier
Again, on the Patient Overview screen:
- Click on the hyperlink for the insurance plan group number.
- Verify the plan’s type is indicated as “Medicaid”
- Verify in the Fees tab that the Medicaid fee schedule is attached to this plan
- If the fee schedule is not attached to the plan:
- Click the word “Setup”
- Select the “Fee Schedule” and the “Fee Schedule Assignment” options from the drop-down list
- Select “Add New Fee Schedule" at the bottom of the screen, select the fee schedule name in the “Fee Schedule” field
- Choose the Select Plans radio button and search for the plan and select it.
- Click the Assign Fee Schedules box on the bottom right.
