All four dates are automatically acquired from entries made in the Scheduler. The listing of recallable treatment items is designed through Setup/Procedure Codes. While the Setup will return the general recall Interval to the screen, the interval can be changed per patient. For example, if the general recall interval for a prophylaxis is six months but the patient needs to have the procedure accomplished every three months, the number in the Int(erval) column can be changed to “3” for the prophylaxis.
“Scheduled Date” is obtained when treatment matching the procedure code is entered and saved in the appointment in the Scheduler.
When the appointment and its associated treatment is posted from the Scheduler, the “Recall Due Date” is automatically calculated based on the parameters in the Setup/Procedure Codes. If the recall interval needs to be changed for the individual patient, the Recall Due Date will initially need to be manually altered to reflect the first desired recall date. Unless the interval needs to be changed, the recall due date is automatically calculated upon each posting of the recallable procedure from the Scheduler.
The “First Visit” date is obtained when the patient’s first appointment visit is posted from the Scheduler.
The “Last Visit” date is updated upon each posting of an appointment from the Scheduler.
