For accounts which have existing ICD9 codes entered:
- Click the word “Setup” and choose the “Procedure Codes” and “ICD Codes” options from the drop-down box
- Click the Edit ICD Codes button
- Indicate the ICD code in the “ICD-10” field for the existing ICD-9 code
- Click the Add New Code button
- Click the Save button
For accounts which do not have existing ICD9 codes entered:
- Click the word “Setup” and choose the “Procedure Codes” and “ICD Codes” options from the drop-down box
- Click the Edit ICD Codes button
- Enter the code in the Code field
- Enter the description in the Description field
- Indicate the ICD-10 code in the “ICD10” field
- Click the Add Code button to add the new code to the list
- Click the Save button
When setting up the entries, the “code” field may be anything the office determines it to be. The “code” is the programming code utilized only in the setup of the ICD in order for the Denticon program to understand the data. Both dental codes and medical codes have the ability to be cross-coded to an ICD number.
