Denticon has a direct vendor partnership with DentalXChange in order to submit claims to the insurance carrier for payment response.
Here’s the recommended flow, per DentalXChange:
- Patient transactions are entered into Denticon
- A claim is created in Denticon
- DentalXChange reviews the claim, and determines if the claim requires an attachment of some sort (xray, narrative, perio chart, etc)
- DentalXChange will hold up the claim, and work with the dental office to obtain the attachment from the office
- Once DentalXChange has the attachment either via NEA, through Denticon directly, or through DentalXChange directly, the claim will be processed to the insurance carrier for financial processing
If the dental office utilizes NEA and wishes to obtain the NEA document number prior to transmitting the claim to DentalXChange, the NEA number may be entered on the claim’s “Claim Fill-Out Information” screen within the “Insurance Ref./NEA #” field. DentalXChange does not integrate with NEA.
