XVCapture install for use with Denticon – Planet DDS

Find a good copy of the office's XVCapture and copy it to the c:\ drives of each X-ray computer where it is needed.

Copy the Apteryx folder from a working computer or from a known working "build".
Then run XVCapture.exe as Administrator. If you get an "atomic wait" error, you will need to run the redistributable pictured below.

Running XVCapture as admin will put the Apteryx registry key into the Windows Registry. I've attached an image of the Registry key below. You will have to add the string you see below.

Select "Yes" to the default configuration and then create a shortcut for XVCapture.exe on the desktop
Install Denticon Bridge Services by going to Denticon > Help > Downloads and Links.

You will see the downloader on the bottom left of your Window or in the Downloads folder. Open it and follow the prompts. Leave it for "Everyone".
You can reboot the computer to load it or just double-click on the desktop icon. You will see it loaded in the System Tray. It will be a blue tooth.
You will also want to confirm that the registry key is set up in the right location.
For 64-bit machines:
Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Apteryx\ApplicationLocations
At this location add the following string.

If needed, you can install the necessary extensions for capture devices from the current downloads page. An extension allows XVCapture to communicate with sensors, cameras and/or pano/ceph/3D unit drivers.
Install device drivers for any sensor, camera or pano unit. You will get these from the manufacturer.
You will want to test from Denticon through the capture then confirm the images forward to Apteryx in Denticon. Do this for every device that this computer will use.
