Denticon defines "Responsible Party" as the person who has assured the dental office that the account charges will be paid. The Responsible Party is the person to whom the monthly statement is generated.
Example: Responsible Party is John Smith
- Member is John Smith (self)
- Member is Mary Smith (spouse)
- Member is Billy Smith (child)
- Member is Jessica Smith (child)
- Member is Ned Smith (child)
NOTE:
- The Responsible Party does not have to be a patient in the Denticon program
- The Responsible Party may be, but does not have to be, a patient's insurance subscriber
- There can be only one Responsible Party per account
- A person may be the Responsible Party for multiple accounts
