What is SMS throttling?
When used in the context of text messages, SMS throttling means to restrict how many messages are sent over a telephone carrier's network at a given time.
Denticon and SMS throttling issues:
Denticon is currently using Amazon's Pinpoint SMS service to send text messages. Amazon in-turn will redirect those messages via the carrier's network and some carriers restrict how many messages are sent over a telephone carrier’s network at a given time. This is done to alleviate congestion during peak hours, which could affect a network’s overall performance.
However, depending on the number of concurrent messages being sent from Denticon, some clients may receive a Throttling message. We are trying to alleviate this limitation by asking AWS/Carriers to provide more outgoing phone numbers.
In the meantime, if you notice any issues with sending SMS, please try again after some time.
